    I dont understand option 1 there are 2 amounts and different distances from work??

    I think id go for the second one - house on business premises

    the 1st option is we are living 45 mins away atm in a rented house @$330 a wk .... moving into PIL house , we will pay them $100 a week and will be heaps closer ... but living in a shoe box ..
    saving upfront $230 pwk ..
    i just re - read the post .. doesnt make sense does it lol .. off to fix it

    I'd live on site - much easier travelwise, means your DH can be 'available' more hours, but not necessarily be at the workshop, KWIM?? Plus everything you'd save on fuel.

    I didn't like the 'stay at PIL' idea, because you're gonna be stressed to the max with the new business - do you really wanna add to that the stress of living with a 'neat freak MIL'??

    I'd move - possibly with PIL.

    I know its hard being away from friends tho! If youre moving closer to Bris we can do catch ups

    If it were me I'd live on the premises you'd save the same amount even though the rent is higher as there'd be no travelling expenses and you'd have more privacy than you would at PIL's house.

    I'd live on site. While you're settling into the business you will be working longer hours, if you have less income the savings will make a big difference and living with the ILs will make you crzy lol.
