Go see your local MP and get in his ear. They are elected to help you so make him work for you. If you don't complain to him he will never know there are problems.
Tell him you want better internet and now. Ask why you are being missed out when the new system is installed.
I thought it was for everyone, I saw somewhere 99% were going to get it and the 1% missing out were really hard to get to.
We have spoken to our MP and he said "well, that is what you put up with by wanting to living in the country" So much for him being our rep to ensure that those in the country don't miss out.
Then talk to your federal MP. In fact talk to anyone who will listen and let them know what your local MP said. They are trying to get people to move to the country but who will if they cannot get decent internet.
It was the federal guy. He is not a local, he is a city boy who was put in a safe seat when the old guy retired. Really sucks being in a safe seat both at state and federal level.
um, are you my neighbour????
We're the same. I've travelled in Nepal and there were no roads, but they have better internet and get this PHONE RECEPTION than someone who lives an hour and a half out of Sydney.
Apparently about 7 years ago T-sra sent petitions around areas like ours and there needed to be 15 signatures on the one that came to our area. I know I signed it, and so did my husband and I find it so hard to believe that there weren't 13 other people to sign it.
Anyway, to answer your question. Yes. I have considered moving to get better internet and I would love phone reception!!!!
Telstra's wireless NextG is pretty damn good, I used to live somewhere without adsl. Even if mobile reception is dodgy, an antenna on the roof really really helps with NextG. Its not cheap though.
