When did people normally get given their booked in date for a planned c/s? I recently moved from Melb to Syd and see a dr at RHW for the first time on Wed, I will be 32 wks. I am hoping to get given a date, is this normal?
I was given my c/s date by my OB when I first saw him around 13 weeks. He didn't book me in with the hospital until the last month or so of my pregnancy, as he had forgotten to call the hospital to do it.
It shouldn't be a problem getting the date booked in on Wednesday. I was private and think I was booked at about 24 weeks, and a friend of mine who was public, knew her date about 10 weeks before.
Depends on how organised your OB is. My date was given when i was about 34 weeks preg through the public system with Ela. I had to force my OB to call the hossie and book a date for 38 weeks. He kept putting it off.
I got given a preferred date by my dr on Wednesday butd now I have to have the admissions people confirm availability on that day, or I get a different day. They are supposed to send me a letter, wish they could have just checked availability and booked me when I was there. So still no locked in date, but hopefully not far away.
Hi
I am 19 weeks pregnant and due to see my OB at 20 weeks. Last appointment he said I would get a 'provisional' date at this visit.I guess the 'provisional' bit means unless I go into labour early.I'll ask him exactly what he means by that when I see him.
Regards
Lisa B.

either next week or the week after i will be booked in for my caesar (public hospital) and this caesar will be done at 39 weeks....NOT LONG NOW....
