A section of my belly skin directly underneath my belly button almost down to my c-section scar, and maybe 10cms across is really feeling weird ... it's bumpy and stretch mark-y (no surprises there!) but it also feels hard, solid, and not very sensitive.
Yep. I had something like that. Exact same place. But I could push it in and it left an indentation. It went away within a couple of weeks from memory.
I had one too, it's a fluid collection. It'll either go away or become infected - just keep an eye on it, if it becomes itchy, red or hot, go to the GP or call your Ob for some antis. I had a repeat course, and once I started, the pus all came out through the skin (eww). But then was much better! Keep your steri strips on your suture line as long as possible, if there's inflammation, it may take a little longer to heal.
yes, I had the same thing, "collection in the morrisons pouch" or something like that was written in my discharge papers.
I lost a lot of blood, and was still losing it internally until day 3 when they realised I should I have been unconcious, (after transfusions that didnt seem to make a difference) had an emergency ultrasound and that was where I was told the blood "fluid" was going.
I had to go back for internal ultrasounds to check on the lining of my uterus a few weeks after birth, was given anti biotics for suspected infection (low grade fever and pain in the area, as well as thickening of the endometrium)
Mine was like yours in that it was numb, to be honest, that area now is still numb.
If you have any pain or develop a fever, please ring/see the hospital ASAP.
Sounds like a fluid collection to me, too. I had this. Beware you may get some leakage etc. Don't panic unless it's 'cheesy' or smelly, or you have redness and burning around the incision site. Keep some extra dressings on hand at all times. I learned that the hard way. Also, the fluid might be reddish or tinged pink when and if it escapes the body. At first mine was pretty much watery blood. It did resolve itself on its own but do watch out for signs of infection.
As for the lack of sensation, all normal. I still have varying degrees of numbness around the incision. Some areas I don't think will ever be quite right, but I can always feel 'something' ITMS. Not like at first when it was totally numb.
