Sounds like a fluid collection to me, too. I had this. Beware you may get some leakage etc. Don't panic unless it's 'cheesy' or smelly, or you have redness and burning around the incision site. Keep some extra dressings on hand at all times. I learned that the hard way. Also, the fluid might be reddish or tinged pink when and if it escapes the body. At first mine was pretty much watery blood. It did resolve itself on its own but do watch out for signs of infection.
As for the lack of sensation, all normal. I still have varying degrees of numbness around the incision. Some areas I don't think will ever be quite right, but I can always feel 'something' ITMS. Not like at first when it was totally numb.
