mines.. well i cant really tell. Its sorta a faint very thin line.. if i look closley.
i've had 2 c/s in the last 2.5 years, and i have almost no scar whatsoever, i was just wondering what state everyone else's is in?
at my 6 week check up with my ob/gyn, he took a photo of my scar as he couldn;t believe how well it had healed, he said it was probably the best he'd ever seen..
also, how was your scar sealed? i had only internal stitches and tape externally. i'm so happy with it.

first caesar ~ nylon thread/removed day 5
second caesar ~ internal stitiches
third caesar ~ internal stitches
i have three caesar scars..they cut as close to the first/second as they could with my last BUT wouldn't cut directly ontop. So now i have 3 scars, hardly noticeable though.
mine is a red line a couple of mil thick - it's raised and a bit wonky ...grrrrrr
Ill let you know one day when I can get rid of my overhang..
amazing what the drs can do now, my aunt had staples for her first c/s, which was 17 years ago, and still has a visible scar.
la deeda, i'm sure it'll fade, it's still fairly new.
my 2 cuts were on the same line, so i barely have the 1 white line left
jakabella - i feel your pain, if you ever lose your overhang, let me know how!
when i had my 3rd baby my scare reopen after i had a c section and i had to go back in and get it re done it was infection for a long time it wasnt good at all
LOL tell me about the overhang!!!! damn i DID ask for a tummy tuck last time round BUT didn't get it![]()
Mine is so faded now that I can hardly notice it. It used to be red and has faded over the past 21 months
Oh and I had internal stitches which dissolved and a clear tape over the top.
Mine's almost invisble, they used the superglue so it's just a tiny little line.
mine is gone with two little purple dots at the end each side!! Lol. Dr said they will fade with time but seeing as it will be re-done in a couple of months time it doesn't bother me!! It is like having a tattoo for each child!! Do you think if I ask for the overhang to be taken off it will be taken off?? Lol.....Positive thinking sometimes never gets you anywhere!!
I had internal stiches and staples.
Has anyone had staples recently? Or any feedback to staples would be appreciated. My Ob has said he will use staples and while that worried me a little I've kept it in back of my head. But now 3 weeks out I'm getting really scared bout staples. I've had other surgery and had internal stitches and the scars are amazing...
Ellee05 - I had staples and had no problems with them at all. I had them in for 5 days and they got removed and then had nothing on my scar from there on.
wow - i didn't think they still used staples...
I had dissolvable stitches and my scar is barely noticeable, can hardly see it, it's so thin and has faded really well. I remember lying there while the OB was sewing me up and she was telling everyone in the room how she learnt the technique from a cosmetic surgeon in the UK, apparently she uses a special needle that cosmetic surgeons use to minimise scarring! Well, it's worked for me so I won't knock her methods lol
I wouldn't worry about the staples, they only use them for the external layer. Apparently there are several layers of internal disolvable stitches underneath that do most of the work.
I had a CS 2.5 weeks ago and I had staples. They took them out the day before I left hospital (day 5 I think) and it was really well healed. Initially I was worried about the wound opening and grossed out by the idea of staples, but they seem to have done the job really well. I can barely see my scar now when I look in the mirror (I have a lot of overhang right now so can't look closely) so I'm pretty happy with the result (especially this early).
Mine is pretty good, bit longer on one side than the other, bit jagged in the middle, abit red but hardly notice it. I had dissolvable stiches and clear tape. I took the tape off on day 6 or 7, well DH did with me lying in the bath. I always regretted not taking it off earlier as I attribute it to the 'overhang' plus taking it off later meant the worst part was it pulling on the hair that had grown back in the meantime lol. Waxing may have been a good idea!
