mine is still purply red colour, gets worse around af and gets shiny, mine goes up at one end too! i have raised then smooth then raised again bits, still getting ingrowns where the scar is too, lucky its all still numb, cant feel a thing!
When I went to my GP in April after AF going missing (thanks PCOS) he commented that I barely had a c/s scar and took a good look as he was really impressed.
It's invisible except for a faint redy-purple at one end, about 7mm long, where the cut up for some reason. It hurts there too. But other than that its perfectly fine and invisible.

I had staples too! It's the OB's personal preference as to what they use. (Apparently staples lessen the risk of infection) I didn't like the thought of them either but they were awesome. They were removed after 4 days and a steri strip placed over the scar which I had to leave on for another 7-10 days. The scar is barely visible. Though i too have to lift up the overhang (I prefer to call it a stoodgey belly) to see it.![]()
I had staples also - my scar is still purple (5 months on), but it is looking not too bad. Once the colour fades it will be ok. It is a little thicker than I would have liked, but I had an emergency CS due to severe pre-eclampsia and as such I was oozing (sorry TMI) a lot of fluid from my scar for about 3 weeks. OB said that it would take longer to heal as a result. But all healed now, just waiting for that colour to fade!
my scar is a faine skincouloerd line all smooth a straight BUT the skin around it is a browny coulor , i guees thats the scar tissue , its about 2-3 mm in width , it is fading though !
