If she had any sedation such as midazolam or valium, they could be responsible for the lack of memory. 80% of people who have sedation don't recall anything of the entire day of the proceedure.
Having said that, I recall *all* of the day of my c-sect. Even the bit when I was waking in recovery. The only bit I have no knowledge of is the bit where I was actually knocked out just after DD was born.
Yep...Ive had 4 all under a general and I remember every single day of each one.
Nikolaus - being in laobur for 22 hours and hearing the doctor to hurry up and get me 'out' as Nikolaus was in alot of distress....and waking up in recovery with my SIL bawling next to me as she was due 3 weeks after me.
Wilhelm lol.....starting to go under and Jed said he hopes the baby doesnt come out choclate (I had a crush on my OB and he was yummy chocolate) and in he walked and laughed with us. Woke up when I was put back onto the bed from the theatre bed
Vyolett.......beggin to go natural all the way until I was on the 'slab' an d wkaing up in recovery to breast feed her and cry with Jed about how beautiful she was.
Mateauz..PMSL....went in on my due c/s date to start labour waiting for my c/s and have my water break in the room before theatre...had a great annithatist who wante dto know if I had other parts of my body pierced to which I told him to check when I was knocked out. Woke to find my baby in SCN and screaming at the midwife to get the dame tubes out of me so I could see him
So yes...I can remember.....I dont know how I could ever forget
Thanks guys. She remembers the c-section itself, just doesn't remember afterwards or a couple of days after. Like with the last one she doesn't know if the midwifes had the baby with them or if she had her in the room with her. It may have been how she reacts to the drugs. I know she was on morphine. Thanks for the replies.
