    that is cool!! If I ever need to have a c-section, I hope I have the option of doing it this way

    I know this is an old thread - I just came across this 2007 article from The Age and thought I'd share as its about maternal assisted cesareans...mods, if the link is an issue please feel free to delete,

    Hi katones,

    As you can see from my ticker I an UTD again, but unfortunately my OB has now reneged on allowing me to have a MACS, saying that the hospital will no longer allow it due to worrying about infection Not happy JAN!

    Anyway I've ditched that OB and I'm going through the public system instead. Hoping for a VBAC BUT I've done my birth plan and included in the caesarean one things like removing the screen to see the delivery, and skin to skin in theatre. The hospital seemed okay with that.

    No MACS unfortunately for me but hoping to avoid a CS anyway . . .

    If I ever am in need of a c/s I would fight for a mac/s!
