Lightbulb Sometimes Bright sometimes dark bleeding?

    Hi ladies,

I had a emergency c-section for my 1st baby exactly 8 days ago and am just looking for some reasurrance that the difference in my blood loss sounds normal or you had experienced this.

Some days its light, then next minute bright, other times dark and feels heavy (Not filling entire pads though) but occassional tiny clots. I asked midwife numerous times but she isn't concerned. I know it can take 6 weeks to relax down there but is this something you experienced? Especially after breast feeding and being on the move.

Thanks in advance for the support

It sounds fine to me. I remember my midwife saything that I would bleed more after breastfeeding and moving around. My bleeding changed like yours as well.

As long as you are not having huge clots or alot of pain it all sounds O.K.

Congrats on the birth of your Daughter!

Curlygirly - I forgot to add that I think the bleeding increases after breastfeeding because your uterus is contracting while you breastfeed. Also when you sit for a while (or sleep) it causes the blood to slow in flow and pool, until you get up again.
