I had mine done when I had DD in 07. apart from getting mild PMS symptoms and every 2-3 months a very heavy period I am fine..

for the first year or so my body was out of whack but I was also BF. Since I stopped Bf and lost some weight everything settled down.

Before my tubal I never had period symptoms. They would just rock up one day now I ovulate very regularly. I get terrible back cramps (don't need panadol for them) it just feels like I have to go to the toilet to be honest but it is uncomfy.. that is just for the first day of AF though then it goes. My Af lasts for 3-7 days..

My Cs didn't really take any extra time. They actually did the tubal while I was getting to know my Daughter. Then when she went to the nursery with DH they were already stitching me up..

I was very hesitant to get it done as I have read about the Tubal Ligation Syndrome but I think it is also a personal decision. A lot of people tell me DH should have gone for the snip but I read somewhere they men who have vastecomies can start to lose their sex drive around 40.. AND I watched a youtube vid of what the do EEKK I was the one who said no freakin way Plus I was already open and ready so it simply made good sense if you get what i mean
