What to pack for a CS

yep id say everything thats listed too, i cant think of anything else, but a tip on the pants, big w, kmart n targert sell them, it hink they are called yoga pants, they have a thick band at the top ,they fold over, i just left them unfolded, i found them great,because they are thick at the top and dont cut iinto your wound/scar,(lol and i wasnt even goin for a planned c cection, i had an emerg one) and they are soo comfy. i was wearing them throughout my preg coz they didnt cut into my tummy, i couldnt stand anything with elsatic cutting into my tummy or waist.

Totally agree on the yoga pants! I got a pair from Target for my lap, and wore them to death. Couldn't find them for my c/s, so bought a pair of trackpants that were too tight around my belly.

For my first c/s I wore low cut knickers, but this time round I got the grannie ones and they were heaven. I didn't take maternity pads, just the long overnight ones.

Agree with Sarah about something yummy smelling too.

I went and got 2 sets of PJ's, being winter, I ended up with long pants, a shirt and button up top. I got the same set, so if I needed to wash the pants, I already had another pair that were the same and matching. A nice dressing gown too, I loved wrapping DS up in the dressing gown with me for nice warm cuddles.
Have you had a visit to the maternity ward Linda? The ward where I was, was quite warm, but the other end was absolutely freezing!

Pillow for holding over your belly while coughing is a good idea as well. I didn't need a pillow, there was plenty in my room.

Shoes that are easy to slide in and out of for the day you leave hospital. That way you're not bending down to do them up or anything else.

Plastic bags. I took a couple of plastic bags so I could send some clothes home with DH and my mum, to be washed. I just popped them in the plastic bag, and then put the bag inside an enviro bag that I had for some reason?? That way DH (or my mum) weren't walking through the hospital with a plastic bag for all the see what was inside it.

I packed some facial wipes as well. Was my cheats way to clean my face, but found it so nice and refreshing to just wipe my face over. especially after I had a chuck and poor DH copped it as well

I agree with everyone else!

The 3 things I appreciated the most:
1. Giant undies (I got mine from Best & Less - they only come in light blue, light pink, beige and white - you'll know the ones I mean - and get a size bigger than you need - once a giant maternity pad is in place you will appreciate the extra room!!!)...
2. Some really nice shampoo and conditioner - the first shower post op is a wonderful experience!!!
3. Some lip balm or similar (for some reason my lips got really dry - may have been air-con/heating??)
And not sure if anyone has already mentioned it (read so many good ideas here) - but don't forget a going-home outfit for bub - gorgeous but easy to get on!!!
