I am not UTD yet but when i have bub # 2 i will be having a planned c-section.
If you were given the choice, would you book a morning or arvo delivery?
I have heard of people having a morning delivery and not being allowed out of bed till the following morning and others having a arvo delivery and being allowed up the next morning (if that makes sense!). so technically getting up out of bed at the same time the next day but having the births at different times in the day...
I had DS1 at about 6pm in the evening and was up the next morning.
I had DS2 at about 9am in the morning and was up the next morning.
Both c/s.
I know I'd definitely prefer the morning - that extra 9 hours in bed before I had to get up made a massive amount of difference in my healing and pain.
morning for sure i had morning with my last 3 my middle one (ceasar 3) was stuffed up and i was told morning but got to hospital at 6am to be told i was on a arvo list sat around till 7:30pm to be pushed back 3 days
I had jack at 8.40am emergency c-sect, was up in a wheelchair at 5pm due to the fact he was in special care I demanded to see him, wasn't allowed to have catheter removed or shower till next morning
Luke elective c-sect 3pm was up having a shower at 6am the next mornin was lovley, also because I didn't want visitors while I was laying in bed half naked with a cathetor in meant havign the afternoon surgery nobody had too much problem waiting till the next mornings visiting hours
