7 seater Prius V...anyone got one?

Have been in the hunt for a 7 seater car that is not totally massive (wish us luck lol). We were looking at the Honda Odessey but it is really quite expensive, even second hand, and then came across the toyota prius 7 seater...but being so new i dont know anyone IRL that has one...

I don't know about the Prius but we just got a brand new 7 seater ford territory and live it. It accommodates 3 car seats easily, we went for a drive with 7 adults and the car felt no heavier to drive and it drives really smoothly & is a great family car (big boot too if the 6&7 seats are not up)

I have the 7 seater kluger & love it. How often will you use the 7 seats?
Who for & long/short trips etc?

It looks huge but is very easy to park & beautiful to drive!

I think, not entirely sure if in Aus though, you can get Ravs with 7 seats. Like ZF said, it would depend though onhow often you need the 6 and 7th seats.

Yeah, see this is why i was thinking a smaller size 7 seater because we we only be using the 6 and 7th seat occasionally...like when parents come into town. I think i will be hard pressed to get DH to look at the kluger simply because it is 'higher' off the ground

Have a look at the Kia Rondo. There's also another smaller 7 seater which I can't think of the name of atm.

I have the same dilemma. 7 seats would be handy for us be we would only use it occasionally so not sure what to get??!!

I think Nissan does a smaller 7 seater too, the dualis+2.

i saw a car zipping around with the dualis+2 thingo and was wondering what that meant kinda makes sense hahaha.

i know that citroen have the picasso and peugoet have the 307 (or 8??) that is a sometimes 7 seater...but my spidey senses tell me that they might be more exxy to service and for parts in the long run.

I want to check out the avensis too...but i really think that i will be hard strapped to convince DH on any car that looks bigger than a matchbox hahaha. and living in inner north melbourne i will have the 'large pram in a small cafe' look if i come home with a 'big' car...and might face neighbourly wrath

The other thing DP actually didn't mind that one of the mums at kinder has is the Honda Odyssey (i think).
They actually look ok and this woman uses it for her 4 kids every day.
Not high off the ground and they don't look huge, qould be no bigger than an average sedan

ETA: had a quick look at the prius and it has the same middle seat as the kluger in the 2nd row, it's not really a full sized seat so you would be hard pressed to fit 3 full sized car seats in there.
We can JUST fit 2 maxi-riders and HotI's spare THIN seat in the middle when we need a 3rd - i can't imagine the prius being any wider than a kluger so thats something you would need to check also.

yeah, this is what i was thinking when driving home today. the good thing about the odyssey is that it can fit the 3 across the middle row with no probs....argh! too difficult for my brain to compute hahaha

The odyssey was actually quite nice, I just preferred something a little bigger and I live Toyota's

But I'm nearly 6ft tall so it's an advantage for me!

ALso the Odyssey 3rd row seats can comfortably seat adults, not many 3rd rows can do that. My Nissan Patrol can't.

Do Volvo still make a 7 seater station wagon?

Nissan Dualis is smaller. You can also get the Dualis in a longer axle length. I have just gotten the Kia Sorento and it's great!
