DH and I are thinking this will be our next car (soonish - yay!). The only other 2 we have considered are the CRV and Captiva, but 99% sure it'll be the Outlander.
We were checking them out today. Does anyone have any positive/negative feedback for me? We're thinking of getting the Communication system with GPS as an extra, so any feedback on that would be great.
I can't wait to be able to take the wonder mutt out with us again!
we have a 2007 one and really like it! it has the best boot space of all the above mentioned, its not huge when it comes to two car seats in the back, but apart from that.. nothing negetive from us!
My dad bought one recently (late last year maybe) and he loves it. He got the command gps system thing too - the reversing camera is fantastic, he lives with my sis and her two kidlets so it's an extra safety thing that he appreciates.
The only thing I've heard them whinge about is that you can't operate the nav system while the car is on - you have to actually be stopped and in park I think!
We have an 05 model and really like it. We have three carseats across the back, we got the barrier put in so we can pack our stuff in. Depending on the new style boots you may need luggage racks as 5 of us take alot of stuff, and the boot can't accommodate
It is a little thirsty on the fuel, which the new ones are better as they are all wheel drive and two wheel drive options. The all wheel drive mode uses a little more fuel. So just check on that with the sales person.
YAY for new cars
howdy! my DH sells them and as perk of the job we get to drive whatever we want from the yard- the outlander is most certainly my favorite to drive - plenty of room and a really nice height to sit at and a really smooth car to drive! It is really easy to park too which is a big thing in my books.
have you test driven one yet? where are you? i might be able to get you a contact for a good deal.
One of my friends bought on a month or so ago and is in absolute love with it! says its the best car she has ever had and will never be getting anything else.
We love love love ours.
We've had 3 carseats across the back and while squashy it's doable. Great bootspace for that class of car, pretty good on fuel, love the foot handbrake.
We didn't get the GPS - just bought a separate Navman that we can operate while the car is moving. It was a very exxie option from memory.
Excellent the feedback all seems good, which is what we were hoping! The more we've looked into the Comm system we think we'll save the extra $ and stick with our portable GPS, hey it was a nice thought
Any outlander owners out there? Oh, that would be ME he he oh and DH We bought one this morning and should get it mid next week (it's so nice not to have to wait for it to come in!) and I'm rather excited.
Thanks once again for all the feedback and thanks Cindyb for the extra advice and suggestions, we're really happy with how it all went
