They put in a speed bump at the entry to my work, and it amazed me how many people just swerved out and around it. They extended the length of it within a few weeks so now it is unavoidable and you have no option but to slow down and drive over it. It is finally slowing people down.
I've noticed people do it at our local shops too, if no one is coming they just swerve out and around the one in the car park. And these aren't particularly lowered cars or anything, just avoiding going over it.
Yep we do it in my husbands ute (only if it is safe to do so and there is no other cars around), and we do it because his car is low and scrapes no matter how slow we go.
I'll drive over normal speed bumps, but if I can go around those savage metal triangle style ones, then I will. But only if there is nothing around. I can slow down to 5kms on one of those things and my teeth still rattle
