    Petrol Prices

I don't fill up often because I don't drive much. Today I noticed I'm down to 20% (after 2 months woo haha) so thought I better fill up while it was on my mind... I've been known to forget. Driving into the station though, I saw it was $1.51/L... I thought I can wait a few days because surely it will come down a bit from that? Please somebody tell me it will drop during the week?! Feeling lucky I don't drive often!

So what are people paying lately? What kind of price can I hope to wait to or should I bite the bullet now before it goes up more! (20% will probably last me another week or two) Has it really gone up that much since I filled up 2 months ago!

Here in Melb at our local petrol station, it's been sitting around the $1.47 mark. It's insane. My tank is 75 litres!!!!

The cheapest day for fuel is usually Monday.

Here we can go anywhere from 139.9 up to 152.9 - depending on time of week. Midweek seems to be best, weekends are made of suck for buying fuel. And when we're running 2 cars, it's less than fun.

It was $1.49 a couple of days ago on the Sunny Coast. The price makes me mad! I can't wait to live closer to dh's work too and then we can really see some savings.

It would possibly horrify you if I tell you what I pay. We haven't had a drop in price in the last 18 months. Only increases.

If it helps though fuel is $2.25 a litre where DH lives

Here in NZ we are paying around $2.10/L. We don't have the weekday fluctuation that you have over there. But different stations can cost more. I always fill up in my little town because the next town over where the shops/kindy etc are is a tourist town and they charge about 10c/l more over the winter.

It costs DH about $100 per week to go to work and I pay around $50 per week for the kindy drop offs and pick ups.

That is so cheap! Here it is £1.40 for a litre. I know the pound has dropped recently but not that much!

I use premium and only from one petrol company, so I just suck up the price and pay it when I need it, but I rarely have to put petrol in at the moment because I don't need to drive to work, only time it gets driven is when I'm visiting friends or doing the grocery shop (unless it is Queen Vic markets & I usually tram it)

We see prices range from $1.45 up to $1.56. Back in 2008 when prices were really crazy we were paying as much as $1.96! But our car is leased so all our costs are taken out each month and we have a fuel allowance of $2.50lt but at the end of the lease we get back all the money that we didn't use so the more fuel costs the less money we get back at the end of it. And we also run 3 cars - my car, DH's work car and his farm ute which is diesel. But we can claim the diesel through the farm so it brings it back to about what ULP costs.

We pay $1.46 - $1.56 depending on which town we are in. Its absolutely ridiculous. I limit the amount of driving I do but we live on a rural property so we HAVE to drive everywhere. I don't fill my tank either but will put $20-$40 in depending on how much travelling I have to do in that fortnight.
