Top Gear Australia reviewed the Chery hatch back model and they all said you get what you paid for basically. You also cannot register them in Victoria as they do not have electronic stabilising so that would be something to consider as well from a safety perspective kwim?
My dad has a Great Wall 4WD for his work car and reckons its the biggest piece of you know what, he has ever driven! He said it has no get up and go and youll pull out at an intersection and it does nothing. Steer clear.
Chery is the number 1 car manufacturer here. Great wall specialise in Utes. DH says if you buy new the dealer should give you a good warantee- 5 years etc
But in my opinon- you gotta keep in mind where they come from and here there just isnt the same care or standards taken with most things. If you wanna buy 1 of these, research their safety records etc While there may be "nothing wrong with them", DH wouldnt let me buy a chery for me to drive the kids around in, so Im left wondering, apart from price- what is right with them
