Does anyone have experience with Mazda's in general or own/have owned this car?
We are seriously considering buying one. Its got great k's for a great price and looks to be big enough for the 5 of us. We dont have any experience with Mazda's though, only ever owned Ford's and Toyota's.
I had a Mazda3 - purchased in around '05 and traded in just before Christmas. LOVED the car. Only reason we moved on was I needed something higher with my back and wasn't comfortable with the size of the 2 4x4/SUV options from Mazda. I felt comfortable driving the Honda we bought (and love). But I would def buy another Mazda without a second thought.
We had a CX-9 and it was great, heaps of room especially in the boot space. We are big people too (DH 6'5) and never had an issue with space. Wasn't that thristy either, drove beautifully...couldn't recommend them highly enough.
i have an 03 323 & i love it. havent had any problems with it. my first car was a 75 mazda 808 (which is what came before the 323s) & it was great. both have been very reliable & economical. they also feel very sturdy for a small-ish car.
Bought myself a brand new 3 when they first arrived in Aust. Adored it. Bordering on unhealthy
Never had a major mechanical issue with it. Couldn't fault it. Sold it for about 2/3 of the original price at about 6yo which I think is pretty good.
Would have upgraded to a CX-9 if we'd been able to afford it but we had to settle for a Hyundai. We're looking to a CX-9 next time. In comparison, my Santa Fe takes over $100 to fill so it sounds like the CX-9 is on par if not a bit better fuel economy wise.
My dad also had a Tribute for three years and also had no issues.
I had an MX5 - so really, really similar to a CX9!!!! - and it was fantastic. Incredibly reliable, great service with Mazda, really good resale. Mum had a 323 for years and it was brilliant too.
