I had a Holden statesman the same as your fairlane. Stock standard on the outside but grunt on the inside. I bought it for a steal, only ever had one (very anal) owner and had super low ks on the clock. It was white, dark tint...
... The we traded it because DH ALWAYS wanted a six speed manual. So we got a commodore ss. I hate that thing!

I drive a landcruiser now. I love it because it's practical. Fits the kid, the kids stuff, the dog, shopping, pram etc all in at once
Plus all my junk too haha

I love my car. It's nothing special, just a Mazda. It's cheap to run and has never ever broken down.

I love mine! It's a Rav4, and most importantly has ipod connection. And its a work car with full private use so it has unlimited petrol, services, tyres and all included.

Driving to Sydney this morning reminded me that I love my cruise control. It's got the best cruise control I've ever had.

I love my car, it's the first one I chose. It's got all the extras, tinted windows, side steps, leather and a sun roof. For now it's got sign writing on but underneath it's a sexy car. Apparently it has to go in a couple of months, so I am hoping to get the same but with the iPod connectivity this time!

    ... I told myself I wouldn't post in here...
    ... I told myself I wouldn't post in here...
    ... I told myself I wouldn't post in here...
Netix rocks back and forth giddily.....

I love all my cars, and even some of those that I have driven that weren't 'mine'...

My first car, which I bought just over ten years ago (and I haven't been able to give it a birthday ) is my '71 Statie.... Factory 350 (but not factory spec ), manual, 15x9 (fronts) and had 15x12 rears. Now its got slicks on the back... And a blown gearbox. Only about the fourth that I've done since I've had it (bear in mind, I've not renewed the rego once in the time I've had it) . . .

. . . To my latest car, my little mk 2 Esky, which I got just before Christmas. Was meant to be a tidy up and rego for me to have something that I liked to drive around in. But its got LOTS of rust, so has turned into a full resto. Its currently sitting at the shop, all stripped out, vinyl roof gone, waiting for surgery. Its got a race worked 1.6 and manual box, but I can't decide whether to keep that in there, or do an engine swap. Mainly I think because I can't decide what to put in there! Do I shoe-horn a commodore v6 in there (and practically have to pull the motor out to change plugs ), or the slightly larger nissan v6 (which goes better and sounds better too, but honestly, would be the biggest PIA to get my hands around to service). Or, a nissan 2.2 (which we already have sitting in our shop, WITH a manual box, although engine condition is unknown), with a turbo bolted on? Or, and one of the most appealling.... 13B which is being offered to me by a friend of ours. Oh decisions, decisions! And I want to put a cage in it, but with kids (or anyone) in the rear seats, that is made a lot more difficult.

And then there are the 4wds...

    Mmmm..... xb....

And Alicia, I know what you're talking about I drove a R34 GT for a little while, and even that was terrific fun at trouncing wannabe's in their commodores with their girlfriends! Did you know you can get the four door skylines??

I do love my car, but I really miss my first car.

It was a 2nd hand white '82 Datsun Bluebird sedan. Gosh I miss it. There was nothing special about it except it was mine! Dad even painted the engine blue for me. It ran on the smell of an oily rag! ahh first car love. IT started to get rust (in a major way), so we opted to get a nice car so that in the future we had a really reliable car if we had kids.

We got a '95 red Range Rover HSE. Fell pregnant. Had baby. Engine blew up. Took 2 years to get it back But, it was registered again finally at the end of January!

During the time it was off-road, we drove DH's Triumph 2500 sedan, or a Mitsubishi Magna sedan that was given to us.

Definitely Netix! I had an R32 GTS-t 4 door and an R33 4 door as well Also an R31 4 door and the Jap R31 Turbo Coupe! And a Supra Jap Imports were totally my thing, lived and breathed them. Spent literally hudreds of thousands of dollars on mods, worked in a high performance workshop for a while, was sponsored by another carbon fibre workshop, drifted, dragged, the lot. But it's all over now a family has come along, trying to decide what to get next, now thinking an Audi Q7... Might get back into an Import or and 8 one day but not until my kids can get themselves in and out of the coupes haha!
