i'm thinking maybe it's a communication issue - reporting income at start of year (unless he's self employed and shows tax return) doesn't happen with PPP - i'm thinking your friend is confused and calling FTBA family tax, and FTBB parenting payment as they go in seperately. if she isn't working, she'd get max FTBB so may think it's the same as the PPP

My PP is one payment, and rent assistance and FTBa and FTBb are another payment.

They have three children, 1, 5 and 6. He did mention parenting payment and tax benefit. Perhaps he's not entirely sure himself. He's been sent to Victoria to help, so I'll have a good chat to him when he returns. I'll let you know what he says later.

if you have a look at your bank statement, your ftba and rent assistance will be one payment, ftbb is another, ppp is a third
