Baby bonus payments

I put the form in 1wk after my lil man was born and he is now 7wks on tuesday was just wondering how long others have waited for there payments to start. I ring and they say 21 to 28days but it will be around 40 days on tues. Im getting tad frustrated about it

mine came through when DS was about 7 weeks old, i handed them in when he was about 5 days old

when i rang about week and a half ago the lady said i would get it by the end of that week as it had been 28days

normal processing time is 21-28 days
however, due to the flood and cyclone processing that pretty much all staff were working on through jan/feb, there are a lot of delays. add in the cluster of public holidays that has just knocked out the best part of a week of processing, it makes sense it is running behind

given it has now exceded 28 days, there should be a result - either payment, or the processing team should have a note on file if there is more information required. give FAO a call (if you call tomorrow, have a cuppa on hand as Mondays are always busy) and someone should be able to see what is happening.

have you checked online services to see if it was processed on thursday or friday? it takes two days for payments to hit you account once processed - so if it was processed on friday, it won't be in your account until tuesday

i feel like a nag when i ring cause i have rung 3 times and they just keep saying it is still being processed but i will ring in the morning ::

i would ring again and ask with all these public holidays it can make a huge delay sometimes

i started recieving my baby bonus payments when DS2 was about 3 weeks old!

I think I got mine at 21 'day's' by their reckoning, but DD was 4weeks old.

I got mine when dd was about 3 weeks old. I'd give them a call.

I waited and waited till around DS was 7 weeks old...not giving up, i demanded a defn date of when money was going in...turned out they lost my forms and i had to do it all over again......you should have got it by now. Keep ringing..every day if need be...

I know someone with a 5 month old who hasn't got theirs yet. I don't think they're chasing it very hard though. They are a new customer with centrelink and she gets maternity leave otherwise they would have been a tad more proactive.
