Recipients of CA can be exempt from the work, training or study requirements which would entitle you to the 50 hours of care a week. I don't know about the % increase.
We've just been approved for the CA for DS1 and I got my letters today, amongst them was a rebate (CCR) letter where I got back almost $150 for the last few months of DS1's daycare (from Oct 2nd until he left in Dec) so I'm thinking that the kids with CA pay less than other kids right? Nothing else has changed, income is still the same but my CCB % is now about 12% more than was it used to be and DS1 is now entitled to 50 hours a week, where it used to be 24.
So am I right? Does CA allow for more daycare time and cover more of the cost?
Just curious really![]()
Thanks

Oh cool, thanks! I went in there today and DS2 has the same entitlements as DS1, so we've decided to put them in daycare one day a week (DS1 will be in Kindy for the morning and day care for the afternoon) so I can get some respite. I'm going to look for a little job (thinking 10-3ish) like a checkout operator or something where there is a high traffic of peopleI crave that interaction!
Oh! Well that explains it. WOW.
I wonder why our percentage went up then? lol. Totally not complaining, just curious lol.
as soon as you have two kids in care, you get a higher percentage than if you only have one
Oh ok! I didn't know that, again awesome lol.
I'm looking forward to doing a few hours at work and not having to worry about my 'normal' life![]()
Thanks BG
