Carers Payment/Allowance

Just wondering when & how much the bonus payments for carers are paid?
I receive this for Immy (both payments) & I am wondering when & how much the payments are.

Innana, the Carers Supplement is $600 for each person you care for (e.g. if you receive carers allowance for 3 people, you will be entitled to $1800) and is being paid from 1st of July.

Thanks I actually thought it was $1000 for Carers Payment and $600 for the allowance. Has that changed has it?

an additional $1000 was paid in December 2008 as part of the Economic Security Strategy but was a once off only - the ongoing supplement is $600 for those in receipt of an eligible payment.

I can never keep up with these payments so I am not of much assistance but I also read about a child disability assistance payment also (seperate to the carers supplement), of up to $1000 for each child you recieve carers allowance.

The payments are made from July 1st. I just figured I would wait to see what arrives in my bank .

Yes it says on the website that it's $1000 on top of the supplement for each payment too... So now I'mconfused... Hopefully Briggsy's Girl will come in and tell me...

I am pretty sure it's a $1000 payment per year.
