It may be worth seeing if it is registered care or approved. With registered care you are not entitled to the child care tax rebate and the max hourly rate that will be paid is .47c regardless of your estimate. However approved child care is based on your estimate and if you meet the work study training test will allow the rebate.

I have to make a phone call about this actually - I think we got our payment for last financial year and it was only $155??!! No idea what that's about...

DD goes to approved child care for one week out of three. We have to pay full price, but we meet the work criteria.

We haven't received anything back from the government as yet - she's been going there since Sept 08....

Tenny, for the Child Care Tax Rebate, you and your partner both need to meet the work/study rule. The Child Care Benefit is different, you don't have to be working, but there is an income threshold for approved care. There isn't for registered care, but as a pp mentioned, you don't qualify for CCTR with registered care.

The pre-school DS1 is going to next year is registered care, so we are getting a lot less back than we have been from day care which is approved. But it's still a lot less out of our pocket LOL!

they won't start paying until at least Jan 20 (well, won't process til then) with payments coming any time after that

i haven't been at work so don't have specific dates at hand - but they will give the CC's at least three weeks to get info in - and generally a lot of them have til the end of Jan to provide usage statements, which then need to be processed onto the system, so could be any time during feb...

    Hi there,

I know this thread is a little older but was just doing some looking as we haven't received our CCR for last qtr (and I remember seeing threads saying when it would start and how long it might take, so baby brain hasn't kicked in that bad yet )

But my question is 'Will I still receive last qtr CCR?' I was employed up until 20th Jan (a few weeks ago), and finally left cause I was not going full time no matter how much they tried to change my mind. So now I don't fit into the category of being employed, but I did for the qtr it relates to, so will I still get it?

    Thanks
    Heather
