If it's under the table hun, I'm not sure they can actually do much about it. I've seen some blokes minimise their incomes so much via their businesses...one just never put in a tax return. You might have to call ATO as well xoxox

Oh I hear ya hun. It totally sucks and I wish there was someway the system could be altered to get the aholes who do the sly thing with their money.
My ex owes me in excess of $15k. I was told he would not be allowed to leave the conutry until his debt is repayed as it is a long standing debt. His facebook page just a few months ago shows some wonderful pics of him enjoying a fun filled holiday in Fiji. Nice for some.
When I called CSA they told me I should have made them aware of the fact that he was going overseas and they could have taken measures to stop him... yeah right, like he is gonna tell me he is going on a holiday overseas! He has also been to New Zealand twice. There isn't much more that I can do but keep living my simple yet happy life with the people I love... it is so much more than he has right now. And I am more than happy about that!
Yes, report him! The earlier the better it can take CSA years to catch them or reconcile payments. My ex hasn't paid CS for 3 years and when his tax return adjusts the payments back up he rings and says he has lost his job and earns under 18,000 which means he gets away with paying noting! It has been 3 years and ca hasn't reconciled his tax with payments, apparently there are over 220,000 cases unreconciled in Australia.
I hope something work out for you Inanna. Like maybe he will decide he's a decent human being after all
Another friends ex works basic hours for his parents, but then gets paid any over time in cash, so even though he has plenty of money, its all his. Lucky little man he is. Oh well, he plans to marry soon. Don't think he realises that her income will then come into it & cs should go upObviously, my friend is keeping that little bit of info to herself

I don't think a non parents income comes into it hun
yep same here my DF's income doesnt affect it at all.
I also thought if they had so much out standing if you push enough they can take action and the non-payer can loose their lic till they pay it
Her income won't come into it even when they are married, they aren't her children she doesn't have to provide for them. She could earn $500000 a year and it would still only go off his income. I know someone who stays home and his wife earns the money to lower child support they are paying, which I think is wrong.
Really? I thought it was the household income. Well thats what she thinks. I'll let her know.
