Also, I initially did the CO form for the youngest only to delay immunization, I assume it became null and void after I started immunizations?

The Maternity Immunisation Allowance has been scrapped. Now the "reward" you get for immunising your children is the Family Tax Benefit Supplement (not sure if it's the A or B supplement). So basically if your children aren't immunised or covered by a CO form, you won't get your money. So in that sense it's more than before (because the supplement is bigger than the MIA was). But at the end of the day we're actually getting less (because we used to get the supplement plus the MIA).

As I understand it, the CO form will cover you if you don't have every single vaccination, so if you aren't doing things by the book, it can be wise to have it. For example, DS is having the vax with whooping cough on schedule, but we'll wait and do the others next year. So the CO form means I still get the supplement. Hope that makes sense!

MIA is no more - the additional payment that you used to get has been completely scrapped as on July 1 (was $220-$240 at 18months for a while, then $125ish at 18months and again at 4)

instead of the MIA, as surprised said, it's now tied in with the ftba supplements in certain years (based on age of children) - if you're up to date with immunisation, have a conscientious objection form lodged with the immunsation register (ACIR) or have an approved catch up plan (again, lodged with ACIR by your health care provider), they supplement for ftba (currently up to 726 per child per year) will be withheld.
