How long to give Centrelink until I call re FTB?

I discovered that I could receive Family Tax Benefit through the estimator so I lodged a claim and handed in the 2 forms they wanted through Medicare. That was 2.5 weeks ago and I know that they are most likely busy with claims but wondered how long I should give them to make sure they have all my info etc?

For anyone who has lodged a claim online, did you see a payment message on screen before you got a letter and did your claim status change from 'submitted' when it was processed?

most forms can take upto 4-6 weeks to process depending on the amount of enquiring they have to do... you could call now and check it wont do any harm but they will back date from the day you lodged your claim..
normally i see my payment before i recieve their letters.. i just recently applied for carers allowance for my son n checked yesterday to see how much my next ftb pay was n got a good suprise to see i had been granted n it was going in today (love that lol)
but you can ring now and enquire its fine... that way they can tell you where their at on it too...

Thanks Zaki&Amali. I didn't want to pester them but I think I will call Monday to make sure they got my paperwork as I had a couple of issues last time.

lol believe me if u dont pester sometimes they take their sweet a** time iykwim lol... just call them n make sure i alwys do they always seem to lose something..
