hello, just wondering if you get the minimum FTB A and B for one child- how much more money would you expect to get fortnightly when you increase from one child to two children?
tia
it is really dependent on the income estimate as the minimum rate starts at a higher income when you have two children. at a rough guesstimate though, if you qualify for minimum ftba, you'll increase by 45.30 per fortnight. ftbb won't change as it is based on the income of the lower income earner, and the age of the youngest child. if you had no income at all, you'd be getting max rate ftbb already
i guess what i'm saying is to expect an extra 48.30 per fortnight - anything else would be based on how close to the minimum threshold you were....
provided DP's income is under 150k, ftbb is based only on the income of the lower income earner (so you) and on the age of the youngest kidlet. it's paid once per family. ftba is a per child payment
pp - it depends very much on the income estimate. it would appear that you're on a higher income if you're not getting base rate for both your children. from what rainforest said, her income falls into the bracket that allows her to receive base ratel ftba for child one, so she will get at least that same amount for child two. your circumstances would be significantly different - so i was answering based on her circs alone. unfortunately it's really hard to guesstimate in general terms as we all have such different incomes!
