Just a heads up, most offices don't carry cash now and you'll need your bank account details if they don't already have them.

But you can also do a 'reverse' eftpos transaction into a debit account (not a credit card) where the funds are available straight away. I use this way if we are tight on funds and need the money back straight away.

No Medicare offices carry cash at all anymore. It's all registered bank accounts only or as Doing my Best explained.

The Lilydale one appears to be a combined Medicare and Centrelink, the address is below and it looks like it would be closed. There is one in Eastland shopping Centre

Ohh, now that you mention it, I knew it was at centrelink.

I got busy and it's too late now, will go on Monday. Thanks

You can also do online claiming for certain item numbers, the money refunded into nominated account within 2days usually.

The Medicare app is great, better than claiming via the website. You make a claim & take a photo of the receipt. It takes 2-3 days for the money to go in your account.

I think the Lilydale office is open Saturdays.
