So basically, if your out of pocket expenses are less than 15556, then you CCR will not be altered by the budget.
The main change is that the maximum will not be indexed for the next 4 years, so its not going to go up every year like it may have in the past. But this like anything else could change between now and the budget passing, or any time in the future really. Especially if theres a change of leadership, as from memory the 50% rebate was a labour party thing.
I didnt see anything in there specifcally relating to CCB or FTB
yeah that's right. Not much change really.
Pandora - that's right. It's still pending budget passing. And Labour did increase it from 30% to 50% when they took over.
No worries liviam
the hourly maximum rate will go up with normal indexing on July 1 - there has been no change there - just the capping of the child care rebate at 7500 per child per annum
the amount that teh hourly rate has gone up is normally announced by now. i know it doesnt take effect until july 1st but it is normally announced. i hope it comes out soon.
the system doesn't go through the upgrade til this weekend, so numbers won't be released til monday at the earliest. until then, it's all a bit hush hush!
