    is it possible..

to change the days that you receive your FTB??

my baby bonus has been processed, and i receive it on the same day as our FTB payments.. i can live with this, BUT if its possible, id like to change it so i receiev one each week, rather tha one big fortnightly payment...

dos anyone know if its possible? just thought id ask here first, to save me ringing them if its not possible at all.

Yep you can. At least you used to be able to cause I did. I used to get both my fortnightly payemtns on the same day on the same week. So one big pay and that had to last 2 weeks and it sucked (single mum, studying not working, expensive rent meant all my money was gone so quick and still had to try and live the next week)

They said they could make it so that i got one payment each week which made it easier and asked what day suited best, so yep, once upon a time you could, i'd assume you still can now!

yup - you just have to request to change your payment day - and need to be aware that, the first time you get FTB on the opposite week it will be an odd amount - as it won't be for the full fortnight - only for a week

so, if you got paid today and want to get ftb next Thursday, you'll only be paid 7 days. if you were paid last week and want to change it, they'll give you a small payment immediately (tuesday if you called tomorrow) to bring you up to date (again, 7 days) and then you'd go to one payment one week, one the other. you can ONLY change your FTB payments - baby bonus is apparently not able to be moved (which sucks for me cos i get baby bonus on monday before my mat pay from work on thurs - then the following week get bugger all FTB - sigh!)
