    Income Estimate - PPS

Just wondering - having returned to work I rang CL and told them of my change in circumstance. I was told that I need to report my income each fortnight which isnt a problem. My only though now (months on ) Is do I need to lodge and update an income estimate for FTB purposes? I dont think I have ever done one?! That said I was only on PPS until now too. So Do I need to do a new one and if so how will I work that out if I am only casually employed?

    Thanks

Yes you need to do one.

You will just have to do a rough estimate, but I advise to do it so it swings in your favour. (Ie if you think your going to make 10 000, put 150000 to be sure? And PPS is also included in your yearly income.

Yep when I returned to work casually the first time I provided an estimate I worked it out at the maximum hours they said they could offer by the hourly rate by the year. Once I had been working for six-eight weeks I was able to adjust it appropriately when I know what my average income per week was.

    NO!

If you are single and still on income support you do not need to put in an estimate for FTB. You are reporting fortnightly for PPS and still receiving a part payment so you are deemed low income and get max rate. You will only need to put in an estimate if you stop receiving PPS altogether.

Thank you! I was starting to worry as no one had mentioned it when I called to tell them of change of circumstance, but that would explain why.
