Hi clover. My son is medicated for adhd.I tried everything before i resorted to meds. And part of that choice was due to him getting so far behind at school. We like you had him on so many pills a day so some of a morning and some of a night but found it hard to judge when he needed it as if we gave it to late it had worn off before the new one kicked in and we hated having to top him up so to speak. I just wanted to suggest to you if any where down the tract this becomes an issue for you to there are differnat forms. As in we now have him on a slow release form of ritalin. So its one pill in the morning and it slowly releases and even amout over the whole day. There have been no sudden come down when it wears off.
Also found it helped once he got to a certain age to as he would get teased at school for having to go to the office to get his next pill where as now he doesnt have to.

DS for us now has it most days.We used to just give it to him if there was something important on but found as he was getting older he noticed his behaviour and he prefers to have his meds
