i also do TCM and noticed more this cycle but maybe i should do the epo also?

EPO 1g is recommended 3 times a day from day 1 till you ovulate. Don't take it after you ovulate as it can stimulate uterine contractions. You can take flaxseed oil in your luteal phase. EPO has definitely helped me produce cm - I had none before.HTH

Hi girls,

Vitamin C also affects CM. I have been charting for a few years now and here is my experience.

1. After Ovualtion your temp should rise by 0.5 degree C. This is always true for every cycle I have charted. Temp consistently remains this high until AF. --> this doesn't help us much does it... however it does tell us where we are at in the cycle.

2. Sometimes my temp dip just before Ovulation but this is not always the case.

3. milky, watery or stretchy clear CM is only an indication of a pending O and that the ovaries are producing the eggs. These discharges could last for 3-10 days after AF finishes. During this phase I would get dry days as well. The amount of CM I get varies from cycle to cycle. Some months I am so dry that I only get these discharges when I am on the loo.

4. Best indication that O will occur in the next 3-4 days, ie my most fertile days, is when I see this very highly stretchy but thick cloudy CM, which I only see discharge once (sometimes twice in small amount) in my cycle. I find that when this occur my temp would increase by 0.3 degree C and then once I have O it will jump up by 0.5. All of this is confirmed through a Ovualtion kit.

Consistency in charting is very important. I always take my temp at 7 am in the morning, in the same position and with the thermometer in the same position in my mouth.

I got a lot of clear ewcm 14 days after my d&c. DH and I decided to bd and we conceived DD2.

This cycle I have been doing heaps of cm obs. Interestingly I have heaps of different cm types. Most interesting though is when all my other fertile signs said that I was fertile my cm went creamy/watery and then I had only one patch of ewcm during that day.Yet for at least a week before this I was getting heaps of stretchy ewcm. I am still waiting to see if I oed yet. A temp rise will confirm this tomorrow. Moral of my story is that I can't rely on mucus obs alone I need to check cervix position and use OPKs.
BTW - EPO is not good for ladies with progesterone deficiency. It produces too much estrogen

Yes, vitamin c gives me more CM. One month I was sick and so I took heaps of vit c. I had so much CM during ovulation that it couldn't be missed.. that thick stretch mucus I spoke about came out to the size of 1/2 my thumb and I had so much watery discharge (sorry TMI) that I had to change my panties twice. However be very cautious with vit c as it affects your p4 level. Once you have o don't take huge amount of vit c as it will affect your P4 level thus your uterine lining.

Well after getting excited and thinking i could possibly be pregnant since i got the fertile mucus last week...it seems i am not pregnant I couldn't help myself and took a pregnancy test 10 days after ovulation and having sex and the test was negative. Owell still plenty of times to try! I guess i will just have to do it every second day to up my chances!

YOu can get patches of ewcm even at the end of your cycle. 10DPO may be too early to test...wait a few days to re-test

Ok thank you! When i got the test i didn't realise that it said for 5-10 if your period is late....and mine isn't actually late. It is due this week. So not sure if that would have mattered with the preg test? I have come up in with some nice pimples all over me which happened when i fell pregnant last time....but i probably just ate some food and my skin didn't like it
