Question Charting Software - anyone use it?

I LOVE charting my cycle (well, I did b4 DS was born 6mths ago!). Anyway, I was using Fertility Friend which I know a lot of you are familiar with and probably using.

I have been told about some charting software - sold through Lullaby Conceptions - called Taking Charge Of Your Fertility - (TCOYF). A friend of mine uses it and says it's a lot more comprehensive than FF and nicer to use.

Has anyone used it? What do you think? Are there any other software programs out there that you would recommend? I'm planning on never going on the pill again, so want to have something that will help me long term (to conceive & avoid pregnancy).

I am using FF at the moment and I have paid for a 90 day VIP membership and I find it quiet easy to use. But I assume you get better options when you join than when you just use it for free. Is the Lullaby Conceptions one free?
I have really only been charting for about 2-3 months now. But up until now I have only been using Maybe Baby. I am going to try OPK's this cycle. I am not that keen on BBT as my DH gets a bit annoyed and I must admit it kinda is a pain.

Hi Puppies, you will get more options from a subscription to FF. The software I'm considering buying you install on your computer (not web-based, although you can share your cycle - like FF) and it costs about $40.

    Hi Melody,

I use TCOYF and have for many years. I roll out of bed to my computer, take my temp and record it. YOu can also print reports and get the software to work out your average cycle lengths etc etc. Its great and the tech support people are very helpful as well. Just make sure you back up your database! BTW I looked at FF a couple ofyears ago and TCOYF still suited me better.

    Cheers

    Thumbs up

    Hi

I use TCOYF or 'Ovusoft' and FF because I'm a bit obsessed and I find Ovusoft heaps better because it uses info from your previous cycles to predict what's likely to happen. I constantly have to correct FF or manipulate it to show the correct 'O' date but TCOYF gets it right every month.

That's great advice ladies. I think I'm going to buy it (TCOYF). Where did you get it from/how much did you pay? I know Lullaby Conceptions sells it for $39.95.

Just another question re TCOYF - how do you find the web-based side of things? With FF you can view others' charts in *C (even if they are in the USA), however you can't do that with TCOYF. Does that make it difficult to get feedback and view other charts if they're in *F?

    Hi there,

Sorry - I just saw this. I do view my temps in celcius in both the application and the internet verision. (You enter the data in the application then upload it to the internet)

I bought mine direct from the TCOYF website using a credit card. I downloaded the trial then wo weeks later when it prompted me, bought the registration key.

    Cheers

    Hi Lily,

Thanks for your reply. What I meant was that, you know how it's helpful to look at other people's charts (to compare etc), well, I haven't found a way of viewing/converting charts submitted in *F into *C. Have you found a way of doing this?
