    explain to me....

okay, so technically i've been pregnant 4 times....never charted my cycle though, just pretty sure when AF is usually due....so i've never been sure when i ovulate......here's the thing though, i have a rough 28-29 day cycle naturally. not to sure if i ovulate on day 14 though. see, i always get these cramps, like O'ing cramps, and i think, 'oh i must be ovulating' and then seriously like a week later, i will get exactly the same cramps so then i think, i must be o'ing now.....then a week or 2 later i will get AF.

my question is, maybe im thinking the first set of cramps are O'ing pains, and the second set.........? what happens in the cycle after you ovulate, does the egg then move down into the uterus, and could this be what i'm feeling? so if im pregnant the egg implants, and if im not then i get AF a week or so later?

and so right now.....im pretty sure i got AF last thursday, finished up a few days ago....and today im getting some O'ing type cramps......which would be cycle day 7? how does this all sound to you guys? Lol.

No idea about the cramps, but my advice is when you chart just make sure you record when you get the cramps, what side etc, then you should see a pattern. Especially if cramping coincides with or just before temp dip. Are you using fertility friend? I have been using it and I find it quite good, although I think it has miscalculated my O by a couple of days on about 2 or 3 cycles..

I take my temp every day and record it on a website called fertilty friend.. How it works is: Your temps are around the same from day 1 til Ovulation. On the day of O your temp is lower, then it rises and continues to due to the progesterone. Then when it dips again I know AF is coming.. Here is a link to My Ovulation Chart The thing with FF is that it doesn't calculate the O til after 3 consecutive temp rises, so it's good to be used in conjunction with OPK's.. Or it's good if you aren't trying straight away, but just want to monitor because as I said after a few cycles you can generally see a clear pattern.

If your cycle is normally 28 or 29 days I would assume you would be O'ing around day 14 to 16ish..

ETA: And the reason I assumed you took your temp is because this post is in charting your cycle, and to me the temp is charting lol... And I don't know if I actually helped at all or confused you more Lol

Blessedatlast said it well Temping and charting your cycles is an excellent way to see what is happening with your body and help pinpoint when you ovulate. You need a few cycles to start seeing patterns though but it really is helpful in most cases. I have quite a few good cycles linked through my signature. You can see them all in the chart at the top of the screen which is an 'overlay' of my charted cycles so you can see patterns.

CD1 is classes as the first day of full-flow (AF). So spotting is not CD1, it must be full flow. Providing you had full flow last Thursday when you said AF arrived, you would now be at CD7. I usually have a 28 day cycle too but I ovulate anywhere from CD14-18. It can and does vary each month. I used digital ovulation test to help me determine when O is nearing too but I now have quite a few good charts so I could probably just BD between cd14-19 and our chances of conceiving would be pretty good.

I highly recommend charting and temping (and using OPKs for that matter!) if you really want to increase your chances of conceiving quickly.

i dont do anything either hun, i know my cycles are 32 days long, so i go to an ovulation calculator (google) and type in the length of my cycle and the first day of my last period and it tells me the best days to BD. 3 from 3 cant be too bad

Charting is probably more for people who have trouble TTC.. Even though my cycles are regular my O day varies, which makes my luteal phase vary.. A short luteal phase can be the reason for not falling pregnant, which was my case.. That and further BT's showed that when I did O my eggs were too immature to be fertilised. Hence the clomid. It makes me O earlier lengthening my LP and stimulates the ovaries so my eggs are mature..
