How to identify cervix

I'm starting charting this month and I want to get in tune with my body.

Can anyone help me with what I'm looking for when finding my cervix, and the different stages. What's the best way to do the exam

Any help or external reading would be great (don't want to google 'finding my cervix' I can just imagine what would come up )

There was a link posted her awhile back, called 'my beautiful cervix'. (you can google it, and its the first one!) and someone took pics of their cervix every day for a month.

The site has now added more cervix (s) including one during pregnancy.

I second the link that Kate suggested, it helped me alot, although it is very graphic and therefore not for everyone.

It does show photos of the different stages of a womans cervix throughout a womans cycle as well as the cervical mucus that is sometimes hard to identify.

Thanks - I checked out the site and wow, amazing. What fabulous women these are to put themselves out like that for the rest of us.

I think that seeing it in pictures actually has helped me to visualise mine, and so I get a better understanding of what I'm looking for it that makes sense.
