Question Is this normal...rise then dip around O day

    Hey all, yet again!!
Sorry for all the threads, just confused atm, first time charting, close to ovulation, really confused, probably about nothing.
Okay, so yesterday i had a temp rise, 38.40 (possibly due to illness) and today, i had a temp drop, way down to 35.71.
I was really concerned to start off with, because that meant i didnt ovulate (i suspect i ovulated on the 23rd) but after playing around on FF and adding a few temperatures around 36 for the next 5 days, it said i would have ovulated on the 23rd any way, so no real changes there.
I just want to know if that seems normal? If some people do get a dip after ovulation, or if it does take a day or two to rise with some women (ive read about progesterone disorders causing slow rises, but im not sure if i should be worried yet..)

hmmmm, well I know that it's meant to drop around the time of O, but that seems very low! I would probably check my thermometer if the temps went that low. Is it digital? It could also be because you have been sick.

I have a book which says that after ovulation it should go high because of a surge of progesterone and it'll stay high til if your pregnant, or drop back down just before AF. Though sometimes it does take a day or two for the temps to rise again, which is normal apparently. I would probably wait it out, have a look at next cycle or two, and if it does the same thing then check it out with a dr.

This probably hasn't told you anything you don't know though, sorry!

It dips for O, then rises. Sometimes it's a gradual rise, sometimes it's more sudden.

Hi, just looked at your chart and even if i ignore the huge rise it's not really saying anything at the moment. Keep it up and hopefully you'll get a clearer pattern of post o temps in a few days.
