I've successfully used the billings ovulation method for contraception for a few years. I've only used the pill for about 2 years as a teenager when I had painful periods (it didn't help the painful periods!).

I'm now studying to be a billings ovulation method teacher which also teaches me about lactational amenorrhoea and complements my midwifery practice

For me, billings is a really natural method of contraception and i like the connection that i feel with my body. it takes a bit of practice, but i've got it down pat now
You probably saw my reply below but here it is again. Seeing you guys are quite experienced in using the Billings Method, what do you think? I need help, this is hard.

Wow! Thanks for all the info. It sounds like it takes months to really work out what your body is doing. I will give it a shot...
I tried recording CM over the last few days (about 3) and it is varying a bit. I went from cloudy/wet, dry, moist in three days. Is this normal? I think I will go back and read the info again. I'm confused. Another stupid question: when checking the CM, do you actually put your fingers inside (as if your partner is fingering you), or do you put your finger on the opening and see if you are wet or not? Hmmm, I'm confused.
