2 year old, 2 days or 3 days per week?

My little miss starts soon and I have her down for 3 days but now regretting that decision. Do you find 2 or 3 days to work for your 2 year old?

Are you talking kinder or child care? How many hours?

I think it depends on the child but both of mine went 3 days a week from that age and they were fine with it.

It's day care as I'm in Sydney. She wouldn't be there past 4pm. I'm looking for a part time job and 3 days seems reasonable. My mum can do a day but she can be unreliable.

My soon-to-be 2 year old will have two days away from me or Dad next year. She's had some periods of two days without a parent this year (at home, with a nanny) and will be at preschool one day and with the nanny another next year. It will probably bump up to three days for a few months when I'm busy at work. Honestly, neither of my girls have seemed to mind the extra day once they settle into the routine. I'm the one that finds the extra day harder! There's less time for me to get all the washing, housework and activities done and I'm just knackered at the end of the week!

I have a friend that works two days and has her littlest in preschool three days, so she gets a whole day to herself (her DD3 is 3 now). I am so jealous!

Mine have mainly done three and done from 1 year old with no issue. I think three works well from a work perspective and with childcare also.

I have my DS in care 2 days a week and work both days.

I think it really depends on what you can afford. 3 days wouldn't be worth it for me, based on my job.

2 vs 3 days won't make much of a difference to a child IMO. We started off 1 day a week and 2 days is definitely better.
