Childcare options in Eastern Suburbs, Sydney?

Can anyone help me with childcare options in the eastern suburbs? I've got our bub down for Waverley Child Care and Family Child Care (both council run) but I'm told the waiting list is long, so I'm not hopeful.

All I need is 1-2 days (max) a week in childcare, but the problem is my bub will be only 5 months old when he starts and I have the usual mother anxieties about leaving him with anyone else at such a young age - but the bills need to be paid!

Has anyone got any ideas or suggestions? I'm open to a nanny, a really good childcare centre or family day care. Anyone really who is reputed to be good with little babies, I'd hate him to get 'lost' in a big childcare centre.

    Thanks.

Sorry, I'm not from that area so dont know of any good places there.
Do you work in a different area of Sydney? Have you looked at centres near your work?

Thanks Karina, but it's too tricky to get me and bub on the peak hour commuter train, best to keep it local. Thanks for the tip anyway.

Ah yes. Public transport would be tricky. Thats one of the reasons I've booked Claire in to a place near home. Good luck!
