DS is currently attending a kinder room at childcare, with kids between 3 and 5. He's doing well, although his speech is still way off (we're doing early intervention for that). I want to start him in school when he will be turning 6 (he will start primary school in the year he turns 6 on 15 March). My next kinder question is, should I enroll him in the 3 year old kinder next year when he's 4 and then he'll be doing 4 year old kinder at 5 and goes to school at 6, OR, do I enroll him in the 4 year old kinder next year, and then have him do the same the following year? Is there any benefit of doing 4 year old kinder twice? I'm not sure if he is emotionally ready for 4 year old kinder next year. Has anyone have any experience with this or advice? The government kinder is a 2 minute walk and across the primary school I want him to go to, so he'll be mixing with his school buddies. I need to decide about he 4 year old kinder within 2 weeks as enrollments have to be made by the end of June...
