Kindergartens in Melbourne - looking for recommendations

I am beginning my search for kindergartens in Melbourne (preferably in the north eastern corridor). Can you recommend any? I'd rather seek them out through word of mouth than take a random gamble!

This probably doesnt matter now, if you were applying for next year, but councils usually have a kinder info night and give a list of when kinders have their open days.

Hi Aurian (sorry to hijack flyingk8!!)
I am looking at 2 kinders in Eltham - Woodridge Preschool & Eltham Woods Preschool - have you got any feedback on either of these two?? I like both of them but the 3 year old teacher wasn't there when I went for a visit to Eltham Woods (I had organised that she would be but she wasn't for some reason!) Now there isn't an opportunity to meet her before the new year & Woodridge enrolements are due early in the year!!
