    Preschool Statements of Payment

    Is there anyone who can help me decipher my statements?

    2/10 we got our account emailed to us, it covered the dates from the 2/10 to 2/11, taking everything into consideration, we were $35 in credit. Today we get a statement emailed to us, it covers the dates from 2/10 to 2/11, taking everything into consideration we are now $85 in debit. I ring the owner who bites my head off when I explained that I was worried she has charged us for the same period twice. I explained the two statements etc, but she didnt care. Im sure she is wrong, this statement should have been for 2/11 to 2/12, well thats my understanding.

    Anyhow, now Im stressed, I dont understand my statement. Can anyone help me work it out please? And its not relevent but i was meant to pay today but forgot to take the money with me this afternoon.

    please any help would be greatly appreciated

    wow that's a bit uncool that she bit your head off, I'd take both statements in there and ask her to please explain!

    I would take them both in and ask if it is correct cause they are showing the same date range.

    I find them so hard to understand.. I just know what I have to pay each week, and don't look at them. (our centre changed systems and they became even harder to read. Mine used to have the kids amounts separate, but not anymore ).. I feel really dumb, cause I am quite educated within accounts, but they do my head in!!

    I struggle working it out and from an accounts background too! I agree take them in and ask her to explain.

    phew, glad Im not the only one. We will be taking it in tomorrow and getting it sorted, and I know she wont be there as well, which will mean we wont be able to actually have it sorted in person. The director is never there in the mornings, very rarely there in the afternoons as well. But the way she snapped at me on the phone is silly. I got hold of DD1's preschools fees this morning after I dropped her off, then instead of putting it in my wallet and going out and doing my errands, I put the money away safe at home. Then I forgot to take it in this afternoon when I picked her up. Whether I put the money in this morning or not is not a big deal, but it definately played a role in how she treated me this afternoon. Her attitude annoys me, if she has charged us double then I really it sorted, if she hasnt then I shall apoligise.

    But why oh why are the accounts so hard to understand!?
