I have been thanked before for sending the kids in older clothes. The carers at the time admitted they stressed everytime a parent sent a child dressed in new Pumpkin Patch.
I am thinking this thread shows a huge lack of communication between carers and parents. Parents need to be open with carers about illnesses and work commitments. Carers need to make it clearer what does or does not constitutes a reason to stay home (seems we all have differing ideas on snotty noses). Newsletters should have clear guidelines on clothing. I know mine have always said about old/play clothes due to them getting dirty, paint on them etc.
