Starting CC & going back to work after 15 months off
I'm returning to work albeit a new job in two weeks 😐ekkkkk!
I will be working 25hrs a week.
I have a gorgeous lil boy who is 11 months on Monday, I sent quite a bit of time in hospital before his birth, he was 6 weeks prem & a very special IVF bub.
He is the sparkle in my day & we are very close, I've not spent a lot of time away from him.
He has been doing orientation at day care & just started going one day a week to get use being away from me, or should I say me being away from him.
He is adjusting well & so far no tears(from him anyway).
I feel sick to my stomach thinking of leaving him 3 days a week. I assume most mums feel like this & wonder how you get through those first tough weeks?

Hi Bex - I went through a similar thing when my DD (another IVF miracle!) started daycare. I also work 3 days a week, though she spends the middle day with Nanna. I'm not going to lie, it is tough in the beginning! But you will find being at work keeps you busy and you don't think about them the entire day... just part of it! DD loves her little friends at daycare and learns so much there, it's been so good for her.
The only downside is prepare for the sickness - everyone says it but it's true, your little ones first winter at daycare will be tough but it does build up the immune system! Just make sure you know your sick/carers leave entitlements at work. Good luck!!
It's tough but it's easier to manage when you're actually at work. At the moment while he is in care you're alone with your thoughts. Pretty much everything you do is stuff you'd normally have him around for. When you are at work you'll be in a situation you can't share with him so the days will be easier for you as you have a distraction.
