    SWiCH at Monash Uni

Just wondering who else has used this service.
I went today to check it out and collect the enrolment papers. I have never looked into childcare before and whilst the days aren't ideal (I needed to accept them to get my foot in the door), I am really comfortable with what I saw and who I spoke to. The director seemed so soft and warm and I was immediately happy that there is such a place on campus to leave my kidlet.
If I feel this way about the place, is it likely to be because it's the right place? I mean, because I've never looked into it before, my confidence in the place isn't likely to be naivete, is it?
It's only two half days he'll be there at this stage.
Anyway, would be interesting to get other experiences, if there were any to share here on BB

I don't have any personal experience - sorry!! but my SIL's daughter is enrolled their for semester 2 at Clayton campus and she seemed very happy with them. Her DD will only be 10 months old. I guess I'll know more when she starts in July/August. Hope this helps a bit!

Thanks, Jodie - maybe by then I can give a hearty recommendation to your SIL

My XH used it 15 years ago with his daughter, and she loved it. Mind you, it was 15 years ago!

    Good luck!

Loving it - those people are ace! I left DS there for about half an hour and after an initial cry (was expecting that!) he was absolutely fine, they realised he likes being outside (they noticed I took him there on our trial day) and the bugger didn't want to leave. My chickens haven't hatched yet - I haven't made it to the library to do what I need to do (the reason I'm doing the CC thing!)...a matter of time...

I'm so glad you're happy with the centre! Hopefully you can tick those items off your list soon!

Just to let you know that I am truly happy with SWiCh
Oscar is sad when I leave him still, and he gets over it as soon as I'm out the door. He loves the staff and he often plays with the pre-school kids instead!
The whole thing will be gone when the new centre is built in 2010, so I'm glad I got in now and experienced it in it's last incarnation before it merges with whatever model and building they come up with!
