    It depends where you live.
    DS goes to 3yo kinder, and its 880 a year, paid in 4 installments for 4 hours a week.

    4yo inder will be about 800 a year, for 12 hours a week - its cheaper becuase its govt subsidised.
    If you have recieve certain types of FAO or centrelink payemnts (cant remember which) you can get 10 hours of 4yo kinder per week for free.

    Kinda here is 4 years and up, 4 days a week, 15 hour all up... and I don't pay anything on concession and it's at the local primary school.

    My goddaughter started 4 yo in Frankston Sth this year, and that was $500 for the year, plus a few extras I think (like hat and tshirt)

    We paid about $160 a term for 2x 5 hour sessions

    I think I must be lucky her in the ACT, as preschool (which is for kid who are 4 on or before 30 April0 is free in the Goverment ones, they are part of the public schools and it is for 12 huors a week.

    They do ask for a Vulontary (sp) contribution each year which is about $120 but not compulsory. You do have to pay for excursions though.

    We have the same scheme here too sweetpea. You have to be 4 on or before the 31st January to enter Kindergarden

    I was shocked at the fees this year! DS1 started 4yo kinder this year and it costs $195 per term, so $780 for the year. It seems so expensive, but it's so worthwhile.
