What do you pay for child care fees? Are your fees increasing on July 1st?

Ours went up at the start of the year, and our pay increased at the same time, before the award change. We're in inner Brisbane, and our rates are $81-85 per day, depending on room.

It's a not-for-profit, but being inner and urban, I'd say quite a few costs are higher and that's where some of the money goes. But also, our staff work 100% with the children. They don't do any other non-child related stuff like cleaning or food prep. Other staff are paid for that.

AND we have unlimited sticky tape. I think that's where the money really goes.

We use FDC & yep, it's gone up. Can't remember by how much though (although 20c/hour as inprevious posts sounds about right)

60 per day currently going to 63 on 5 July. That includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea in the pre school room.

My daughter goes to a child care centre and its $70 a day. Because im on a single parent pension, i normally pay about $38 a day. I really hope her day care fee's dont rise too much.

wow i never realise how cheap our day care was.

Its currently $55 a day and my youngest two go two days a week (total 4 days between the two), atm I pay a whopping $14 a week for daycare out of pocket, but it will be going up soon once my 6 fortnight wavier period finishes on the PPP but even then will only go up to about $20 out of pocket a week for me (and this is long daycare too)
